Nonprofit gains better workflow and quicker staff onboarding
The American Printing House for the Blind (APH) creates educational, workplace, and independent living products and services that empower people who are blind or have low vision. They break down barriers in education and daily life by ensuring students, families, adults, and educators can access the tools and information they need.
To support free braille book distribution, subscription services, and member benefits, they needed a flexible, customizable CRM that could keep up with their programs and team.
Challenge
An inflexible, hard-to-use system was slowing down the team
APH had been using Raiser’s Edge but found it overly complex for new staff and poorly aligned to their workflow. When onboarding a new coordinator, their Vice President of Development knew it was time for a change.
Raiser’s Edge isn’t user-friendly, and I don’t have the time to teach someone new how to navigate complicated software. I chose DonorPerfect because I wanted intuitive software with good customer service and features and functionality that are geared to what we do as an organization.
Solution
A more intuitive fundraising system, tailored to APH’s needs
APH switched to DonorPerfect and immediately saw the value of a smoother implementation process. DonorPerfect worked with APH to customize their system to match their unique donor and program structures, making it easier for both new and experienced staff to manage data, communicate with supporters, and run reports.
