Okay, I’m sure a few more people will
trickle in as we move forward. But I want to respect everybody’s time here today. Um, I don’t expect to go longer than 30 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on how many questions you have. But I do want to
I will probably stay at the end for questions and answers. So at any point, you know, we already got a little bit of a confirmation that you can all hear me.
If at any point you have any questions about what I’m about to present, or anything I mentioned, or anything at all, feel free to type it in the questions to have at any point, I probably will not be able to stop in the middle of the presentation to answer that question. But I will stick around at the end to assist. So as soon as it pops into your head, feel free to post it in the chat right away. So welcome, everybody, you know, thank you for joining me. Today we are going to cover how you can master basic prospecting and astronauts using DonorPerfect, and donor search together. Let’s see if my screen is working. And it is. So my name is David Kinnaman. I’ve been with DonorPerfect for over 16 years. While I am currently the director of sales, I was an account manager for many of those years helping nonprofits achieve their goals, while using DonorPerfect and our integrated solutions. Some of you may have worked with me directly in the past, or at least received a bunch of emails from me. During my time here, many nonprofits have come to me asking for direction while possibly overwhelmed by the data or data at their fingertips and unsure of where to start or what to do next.
With all the options available in the world, it is very easy to get overwhelmed. I mean, when I look at the menu, when it’s my turn to order at a restaurant, I break into a cold sweat from the pressure. So I get when my client clients have come to me asking for suggestions. My first mention or my first suggestion beyond using the basics within DonorPerfect is if you have the budget is to invest in a prospect research tool. And if you don’t have the budget, make sure you put it into your budget for next year. And then preferably one that integrates with your donor management system.
So quick agenda,
prospect research. What is it? So once again, today, I’m going to focus on making sure you understand what prospect research is, and how it can help your nonprofit reach its fundraising goals in a very basic sense. You know, why is it important? Is it important? The answer is yes. prospect research or wealth research provides nonprofits like yours, comprehensive wealth, data and actionable insights that assist with identifying and engaging with valuable donors in your network.
Donor search and tools like it can provide truly actionable information, such as external charitable giving. So that’s giving or donations to other nonprofits other than your own political giving real estate holding stock holding business affiliations.
Other nonprofit and foundation involvement,
which is important for grant applications or grant management,
tons of different things I’m gonna go over a lot of them shortly. But having this type of data allows you to easily make data driven decisions without just hoping and praying you’re making the right choices. This gives you actually something behind your choices. And to put it even more simply, prospect research makes it easy to identify major donors, some which may be hiding in plain sight in your DonorPerfect system. And then determine appropriate estimates. So you can understand how much a person can donate and how likely they are to give to your organization. And then beyond that, discover new donors. So I just want to double back to the to the ask amounts before that.
Typically, people will give what they’re asked for. So just keep that in mind. As we move forward.
asking somebody for not enough, asking them for too much is a problem. And prospect research can help you solve that problem. And then the last one I mentioned, discover new donors, there are ways to find new constituents that may have a propensity to actually give to your organization. So there is a there are tools which can assist you with finding donors that may actually have an affinity or propensity to get not just buying a very extremely cold mailing list somewhere which we could all do right now. We’d go on a website, buy a mailing list, but great spray and pray we’ll throw out some direct mail and see what happens. Donor Search provides tools where you don’t have to do that you can find constituents in your area that have given to other like minded organizations. So we’ll show that in a few minutes.
For anyone
Any that logged in after I began any questions you have at all throughout the presentation, just go right to the Questions tab. It should be in the GoToWebinar little toolbar on the right of your screen and just type it in. And I’ll stick around at the end to answer your questions.
So DonorPerfect has partnered in great integrated with the best in business for prospect research that’s done research.
We’ve worked hand in hand with them for over the course of 10 plus years to provide seamless integration and access to valuable information that can make sure you hit your fundraising goals. Has anyone heard of donor search or use this tool in the past?
Feel free to type that in the Questions tab or the chat. And give me a summary of what how you did with it in the past, or any prospect research.
Just want to make sure you’re all still awake.
Excellent. Okay, so one big thing that sets donor search apart from every other prospect research tool that’s out there. Other than that it integrates with DonorPerfect is that they have the largest Charitable Giving Database amongst the prospect research services. So keep that in mind throughout this presentation and then moving forward, you’re going to have access to the largest Charitable Giving Database they have found after years of review and experience that the best indicator of future giving is past and current giving patterns when successfully paired with wealth. So somebody may be wealthy, they just may not be very generous, or they may be wealthy and generous, but they may not give to organizations like yours. So that’s all of the information you can get from donor search. So you’re not spending cycles, reaching out to people who will never give to your organization, or reaching out to individuals for the wrong amounts. So very basic, that’s what we’re looking to the problem we’re looking to solve right there. So let’s start out with with donor search, and how this can help you and what information actually come into DonorPerfect. So right here, I logged into donor search, this login area is going to provide you with the ability to a ton. And a good amount of this information comes directly into Donald perfect. So as soon as I log into donor search, what happens is I get to my integrated search area. And a lot of times what happens is you’re looking through your system, you’re looking at your donors, you’re trying to understand more about them.
And maybe you were an Adam had an event and you met Kevin Plank, let’s say and you know, he lives in Maryland, but you’re very unsure of
more about you talk to him for a few minutes, you maybe had a drink with him at the event. And then you moved on. But you know, it’s Kevin Plank, great guy seemed like he was very interested in your organization and your mission. And let’s see what we can do with with that information, Kevin Plank, and that he lives in Maryland alone. So if I type in Kevin here,
I’m gonna put in the state of Maryland.
And click search. Now donor search is smart. It understands that, hey, there’s a lot of people with the name Kevin Plank is gonna pop up potential options here, the worst thing you can do is make assumptions on somebody’s ask them outs or giving capacity, because you’re looking at the wrong person. So I met Kevin Plank at the event, I also met his wife Deseret. So I know this is the appropriate or correct, Kevin. I’m going to click search. And it’s actually going to create his full on profile. I’m going to click in right now.
The great thing about this is, that’s a challenging use case, if I only know his name, and say, I have to get a little bit more information. But for everybody that’s in DonorPerfect the majority of those you’re going to have a name and address. So you’ll be able to utilize the integration and the button to
get this information within one click. You don’t even have to search within the system. Everything I’m showing you right now. It’s something you can add on one sec within sonar perfect. So foremost, I’m going to use during the easiest or the lowest hanging fruit when you’re doing prospect research using donor search. So this profile is a summary of a lot of different information that’s captured from many different databases. And that’s using formulas and algorithms and all the data itself. It represents digestible information for you that can help you align your efforts, focus your efforts and really hone in on the appropriate estimates and on your best possible donors. So first and foremost, I want you to look at the top here, you can see a summary of all of his charitable giving
Part of his political giving maybe the overall value of his real estate,
major and annual guests likelihood. But one thing I’m going to focus on is this DS rating, this one dash one, this will come right back into DonorPerfect when you click that button. So what that one dash one represents is
they have found an exact match of a charitable gift of $5,000 or more. So that one dash one is very direct, it is very accurate of saying this person has given $5,000 or more in one gift to another nonprofit.
Now, connecting these dots with how this integrates with DonorPerfect. If I did that back into a field and DonorPerfect. Most of you know that you can report and filter on any data was sent DonorPerfect anything. So if I add shoe size, I can report and filter and say show me everybody that has a shoe size of 10. But now what I can do is I can say show me everybody who has a DS rating of one who has given me I don’t know, less than $1,000. So these are and whoever pops up on that list in that report. Those are going to be your next targets for major giving. Because they’ve proven they have capacity to give a gift of $5,000 or more. But they’ve chosen to give your organization for whatever reason, less than $1,000. Maybe it’s you’re only asking them for that much. And if that’s the case, we need to align how we communicate with those individuals. I want to pause for a minute here. And I want to make sure everybody understands
what that means.
Does that make sense?
Yes. Okay.
So can we enlarge the screen? Let me see if I can do this.
Does that help?
Okay, excellent.
So lowest hanging fruit. If you start clicking that button in DonorPerfect, and you get the training in there on the on, however many records and you’re saying, hey, I want to run a campaign where I get
X amount of,
you know, 10 major gifts for $100,000 total. This is how you’re going to make your list, you’re going to find all the one batch of ones that are in your system. And the other thing that it helps you to do. Not only is there a one rating, there’s twos and threes and fours that help you align your ask amounts so that when you’re doing your direct mail, when you’re doing your solicitations, when you’re doing your event invitations, it’s not all the same messaging, they’re not all the same asks, somebody that can give you $10,000 Probably should not get the same solicitation or direct mail piece that somebody you’re targeting for maybe
a monthly giving program for a sustained gift $25 per month. So this is kind of what donor search can assist you with
being aligned on you know, making sure you’re not
asking for the wrong amount. And
I’m going to scroll down and show you a little bit more supplemental information because I think that landed pretty well. This is the nice little summary, a lot of this will come back into DonorPerfect so you can report and filter on it. But there’s some other great features right here within this profile that you can utilize to help with your outreach.
This is Kevin Plank, if you’re unaware of who that is, it’s the founder of Under Armour. So he’s going to be an extremely wealthy individual. So I’m not saying that everybody you search on is going to have this type of information. But this is a good indicator of what a great prospect would look like. You’re going to find out some information if you don’t know what it what their addresses are, you’ll be able to find that by just use one of these anchored links and I’m down to real estate, I can see hey, hey, live in Timonium have a beach house and we’re homeless. They also have a vacation spot in Park City, Utah. So if any of that helps your communication efforts, Charlie, when you’re doing major donor outreach, you have certain moves associated with the moose management campaign, and maybe one of them is a personal visit, or a personal ask or a meeting or interview or phone call. Understanding as much about them as possible is only going to aid in your efforts to capture a major gift.
One other thing I want to mention is you can see their external giving history. So if I click on charitable giving, I’m going to see a lot of information here related to
forgiving and
what donor search does very well other than presenting up to date. Gift information is they don’t apply a confidence level to information or they don’t present it to you or
included in the ratings unless they have a very high confidence level.
And what we’re seeing now, at the top of this table, that’s white background, these are people, these are the donations that donors search through all their expertise, and all of their formulas and all of their algorithms. It’s proven to be this is the correct Kevin Plank. And these are donations that are attributed to Kevin Plank.
And what I can do, based on my knowledge, of Kevin Plank, is I can scroll down, I’m going to go down a little bit further. And we’re gonna get out of the white background, we’re gonna get to this gray background information. And what I call this is maybe data.
It so this is not only in the charitable giving, but let’s say there was real estate that we think maybe was Kevin Plank, but we’re not sure, we’re going to present it to you as a possible as a possibility.
And then what we can do, based on my relationship with Kevin Plank, let’s remember, I’m the executive director at ABC Foundation, or whatever I can come in. And I can say, up, there’s this $50,000 donation here, the St. Paul school’s Alumni and Friends Association from the blank Family Foundation. And you know what I can say, based on my relationship, he’s been a donor with us for a few years.
I know that that’s my Kevin Plank that we’re talking about. So what I can do is I can come over here, and I can actually apply a high confidence score to a piece of data that otherwise would not have been included in a profile, I can reload it. And now that’s out of the maybe data. And that’s into the yes, this is our guy or gal data. So that is not going to update Kevin’s information much You see, he was always a one dash one.
But
while it’s a one dash one, you can actually
let’s say this was a typical person, like me, I’m not a very high net worth or wealthy individual, it could potentially change my ask about that a little bit. So if you find a large
opportunity, a large
change, or a large donation or a large piece of information that’s in the maybe data, you have the ability to alter that. And that’s just in your profile at your nonprofit, that will not change how it presents to everybody else across the country.
So this is something using your information
works.
Once again, I see we had a lot more people log in over the last 10 minutes. If you have any questions.
Feel free to
type them in the Questions tab, I’ll stick around at the end to answer them. So I see a lot of people are putting questions in there, I’m not ignoring you. I’ll just stick around at the end to go through this. So we talked about real estate, we talked about charitable giving, you can also see political giving, if you want to get in there, I’m not going to go there today. But if I scroll down, I can see a little bit more information that might be very valuable to certain types of organizations. So is Kevin associated with a grant seeking or grant giving foundations? So let’s say you know, you want to apply for a grant you’re looking for
Kevin Plank was a major donor of yours in the past, you’ve already gotten two major gifts from him.
And you see that he gives to sports oriented organizations, and your boys and girls club or rec center.
It would probably be great to approach him
regarding Hey, what’s the way for,
you know, how can we get on the list of the plank Family Foundation grants this year? What’s the easiest way to apply? Can you help me out we’re trying to build a new wing for our basketball court. And we’ll put your name on there, we’ll put the plank Family Foundation name on there. So you can see other opportunities within your network of constituents or donors that not only possibly Garner gifts from them, but also garnered gifts from the foundations that they’re associated with, that they work with. And more. So we talked about the foundation’s grant giving or if they’re grant thinking nonprofits, that they’re affiliated with those.
That’s an option. But you can also come down and see
where their directors and their staff so where they’re born board members, what other organizations they may be associated with relationships here. So when you get down to relationships,
bring up a scenario or use case for how this can help you your fundraising efforts. Fibers. Thanks Family Foundation. Looks like you’ve worked there who’s who’s associated. This was around back in 2019.
You know, you can actually look into a lot of these organizations and say, You know what? You know, thank you for your large gift, Kevin, I see that you worked with Kevin Povey, the director at plank foundation for entrepreneurship, do you think he’d like to maybe come in and match again? So donor Search provides you external giving, provides you real estate information, sock holdings, sec input insider information. And it’s also going to help you find new constituents new major donors, possibly by this relationships and understanding of who’s on the board, or who’s a sea level employee the same time as Kevin. So you can say, Hey, do you think Kevin Kelley would match your gift to $25,000. So maybe leveraging those relationships you already have with major donors, and to capture an additional measure donations. So that’s another great feature.
Within this profile, I’m gonna hop out of this profile in a moment and show you other features that come with the donor search service. That’s one of the big ones the I’ve highlighted a lot of these big ones, I’m just going to summarize real quick, what I think is easiest to utilize. If you’re just dipping your toe into the water with prospect research, by scroll all the way to the top here
is the S rating score. Once again, easiest way to use donor search and prospect research, because they give you a very direct indicator of what this means. And it correlates with ask amounts.
A DS one dash one rating means they’ve given $5,000 or more to another nonprofit, they haven’t given that to you, or target for an upgrade or different types of communications or a different campaign to garner that or more. So I just want to make sure everybody understands, that’s the easiest way to utilize it.
And
here,
I’m going to close out with Kevin Kevin Plank.
And go back to the donor search home screen again, can everybody see the home screen here where it says integrated search.
So let’s talk about the other features that come with with donor stir.
So I’m just gonna go right down the line. As you see on the right side, I utilize Kevin Plank as my demonstration record a lot. So this is all of my historical profile searches. And I can go into the past and see past searches and bring up their profile live. This is also true for anybody I’ve clicked, there is a button that we would activate within DonorPerfect. So if I click on that, it’ll create a profile, you’ll have a link, you can go right in for that as well. So these searches can be done directly from DonorPerfect. But there’s also an area called my portfolio. And I can come in here. And if I don’t have access to DonorPerfect or if it’s a member of my team who doesn’t have access to DonorPerfect, I can actually come in here
and see in spreadsheet format, any and all searches I’ve ever done through my accounts, and filter and sorted. So there’s a lot of power within donor search as well to do some research outside of DonorPerfect if you’d like to
a lot of the the most important information comes back into the DonorPerfect system. So that you can actually filter and report directly within DonorPerfect, which is your single source of truth. So you can pair a lot of the information. So you can do things like show me everybody who lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who has a shoe size of 10, who gave me less than $500 Last year, but it has a DS rating of one dash one. So I will do targeted solicitation and outreach to them I can because that information is going to be DonorPerfect for me. I just wanted to show this portfolio area and there’s a way to filter and sort outside of genre perfect for users or consultants that may not have access to your perfect system.
Now if I go back into DonorPerfect there’s some other great features that come with the full search suite.
So if I go to
the other search options here
you’re gonna see there’s a lot of additional features that come with the full search suite within donor sir. So I can search to real estate by owner
I can look for more soccer information foundation data. So I’m just going to click on some of these, you can search for organization types that are grant giving grant seeking. So if you’re just looking for organizations that are grant giving foundations in your state, you can search for that.
You can do reverse search by address, reverse search by phone, reverse search by email, company get matching and social discovery here. So social media
is an option. Also, we’re just trying to get something else up here.
Company gift matching is a great tool, it’s through double the donation some of you may already be familiar with with double the donation. But what this allows you to do is actually live, see
what which one of your donors and their employers have a matching gift program. So let’s say Kevin Plank were talking about earlier, he worked for Home Depot who could come in here and say, I’m gonna look for Home Depot. And it will actually present to you the matching gift information for that employer. So we’ll allow you to kick off that process, reach out to Kevin Plank and say, Hey, thanks for the $2,500 donation. If you follow this, go to this matching gift form and fill it out, we can actually double your donation to us, we can get that matching gifts, this is a great add on or value head of the donor search service.
The last feature within donor search that I want to talk about which is
a great new feature is this marketing list option. Now remember, back to the beginning of the presentation when I spoke about
finding new prospects, or finding new constituents that may have an affinity to begin to your organization.
With any full subscription to donor search, you get the ability to download up to 500 new prospects that are proven donors, proven philanthropists, and download their name and address so you can add them to your direct mail efforts. So we’re looking right here, there’s over 160 million philanthropic individuals within this database. And then what I can do is I don’t want to just pick any 500 out, it’s the same thing as picking as buying a direct mail list, I can actually go in and do some things like hey, let’s let’s look at the code.
19438, it’s my zip code, brings it down to about 11,000 people
within donors in this zip code. And then what I want to do is I’m gonna try to find donors that give to organizations like mine, and click on donor search given categories will do philanthropic categories, I want to look at education because I’m an education based nonprofit, right there, I have 536 names that I can download, along with their addresses, and bring into my direct mail.
So you see, it’s encrypted here, because I’m not going to export the preview yet. But this is something I can download.
So that’s an option there.
This seemed like a helpful feature.
On a scale of one to 10 Give me 10.
For the most helpful or one for not very helpful at all.
Okay.
Last feature, which is pretty helpful. It’s very similar to this marketing list is prospecting earlier. This enables you to put in pure organizations or like minded organization names for nonprofits that actually get they’re getting their gift list or their annual report. So you have a lot of access to a lot of data here within donor search that can help you facilitate your fundraising efforts in many different ways. We covered a bunch of them. But this last one is the ability to once again, see what donors are giving to other like minded organizations to help evaluate your estimates. And then also possibly to find other nonprofits in your area that it may be beneficial to partner with maybe for an event. So if you search for the ABC foundation in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, and the XYZ foundation down the street is very similar to mine, and I looked
I’m up and I see a lot of overlapping donors between my listeners. And maybe I reach out to their executive director and we have a
joint event in the near future, just another way to increase or improve your fundraising efforts.
So let’s go into a quick summary of your options with donor search and DonorPerfect. So when you sign up with a donor search subscription, we would activate the access donor search button within your DonorPerfect system that would allow you to search on anybody in your DonorPerfect system and get that profile that we showed earlier up right in front of you. It’ll allow you to bring information directly into DonorPerfect, there’s a bunch of information that’ll come in, but most importantly, it’s that DNS rating, that’s going to allow you to quickly and effectively sort your constituents for targeted outreach and targeted solicitation and estimates,
then you’ll have access to if you’d like the individual search within the donor search area. So you can actually look for people who may not be in your DonorPerfect system.
So we talked about that scenario at the very beginning, where I met Kevin at an event, and I just know his name, and his and his state, it’s probably not going to be my DonorPerfect system yet. So what I can do is I can go right into donor search, as I demonstrated, and search for him, find him and go from there.
Beyond that, the marketing list, every subscription, every full subscription to donor search includes the ability to download up to 500 records or new donors directly from donor search per year. So that’s another great feature that we went over some other features that are included in the subscription.
Another great feature, which you can utilize, and it’s going to get into our discussion about how donor search utilizes AI to increase the value of their feature set the value of the data that they provide, and then help you focus your efforts and prioritize your fundraising. There’s something called a batch screening. And what that batch screening does is it allows us to effectively screen a large group of constituents within your DonorPerfect system all at once, and bring that data into DonorPerfect in one big fell swoop. So you’re not doing those individual searches like I did during the demonstration today. But within a week, a week or two, we can actually do 1000s. So let’s say 5000 records from your system, we can run them through the screening process, bring the data back into DonorPerfect, so you can then report and filter on large groups of individuals all at once. So that filter you’re running to try to find all your one DS one bash ones, you’re gonna have a bunch of them, instead of just hey, I just found one, you’re gonna see a bunch of them so that you can actually do targeted campaigns, targeted solicitations and targeted fundraising efforts for the right task amounts. So we’re going to saturate your system with actionable data in one big fell swoop. And then you can segment based on that data. Now, the screening will pull that information directly from donor search a lot of the information I showed within the profile, the rating, giving capacity, number of charitable gifts in the last 12 months.
But there are additional features now available that you can utilize to even further prioritize your efforts. So some research has new AI models, everybody’s heard about AI, it’s the new thing.
If you are concerned or thinking about or just heard about somebody else doing it, and you’re wondering, should I, you probably should, we’re getting to the point where if you’re not utilizing AI and some of your fundraising efforts,
you may be missing out. And I’m just going to give you a very easy basic overview of how donor search you kind of can apply an AI model and predictor to your bad screening results to help you even further prioritize and focus your efforts. So the US
once we’ve completed a batch screening on your system, we can apply an AI model any one of these three to the data. To give you a list for prioritized follow up based on the predictor and you chose to see there’s three so donor searches AI prospects scores or her precise data driven predictions to identify the most promising donors for your organization and customized to your unique goals. He scores enhance the effectiveness of your fundraising efforts and ensure you engage with the right supporters and maximize your impact. So the acquisition model, that’s the first one you’ve ever wondered which prospects are most likely to make your first donation. Donor searches AI when applied can help you pinpoint those promising supporters who are ready to make that first time gift,
the retention model, so we got your back when it comes to retaining donors. It’s extremely important
This prospect score will identify those first time donors who are most likely to give again and again. And then the upgrades model, which is the final one. If you’re looking for generous supporters, the upgrade prospects score can predict which existing donors are most likely to make a substantial one time gift of at least $250 or more. And what this does is it not only you’re gonna get the information from the screening itself, then the AI model is gonna look at everybody within your database and rank them and score them appropriately, which can help you prioritize your efforts, even more so.
So we’ll get into the most important part, pricing.
It can be different, depending upon your system, how large it is, how many records you have, the subscription itself is anywhere from $19 per month, to 100 to $79 per month. And that’s all dependent on the size of your database and the functionality you desire. A lot of what I demonstrated today is that the 179 level, what if you’re just interested in a button within your DonorPerfect system that can present you a profile, it’s more between the 19 and seven 179 per month, your specific account manager can go into the pricing that’s best fit for your functionality requirements. We talked about the batch screening, that pricing is dependent upon the number of records you wish to screen in one batch. So once again, contact your account manager will reach out to more information, we do have a special, which I’ll mention in a few minutes. And then the AI models, the three that I spoke about in the prior slide. Those are $1,500 each when applied to a batch screen. Now, just remember back to the one thing I always mentioned to nonprofits at the very beginning of this presentation regarding what they can do best, what will best boost their success if they aren’t already doing it. This prospect research. However, it’s not lost on me that prospect research isn’t free. Donor search and tools like are so valuable, though, that you can uncover a major donor that can pay for them for most of your technology budget needs for years to come. Not just prospect research. So a lot of these major donors or these upgrade opportunities are hiding in plain sight like within your database. You’re just not uncovering them potential unless you’re using prospect research.
I see a good question that somebody posted in the chat. Can you try it out? Yes, there are trials searches you can utilize within DonorPerfect and your account manager specifically can go over those options with you. So I did want to stop and answer that. That’s a great question.
Now, yeah.
I don’t know if this question has already been asked. But it’s asked a lot. Whenever I talk about prospect research, does it work? Can you talk to me about client success story. So before we get to the special deal, let’s chat about a client success story. So there was an executive director we work with who served as a primary fundraiser of a nonprofit Dance Company.
They invested in doing research, and they noticed it immediately impacting their fundraising levels. They were starting from scratch when building a donor base. And they had to figure out which donors to prioritize due to their small team. So they turned to donor surface to find who was likely to get they were a dance company. So they had people who were signing up to attend and do their performances. Not all of them were translating to donors. So donor search help them segments so they could focus on the best next steps they needed to make big asks. But donor search made them comfortable doing so because it showed that they’ve made substantial donations elsewhere. I mean,
it’s tough to ask for large amounts of money, unless you know that it’s a typical ask somebody may be used to so donor search can help with that. It’s also effective at looking at grants. This nonprofit didn’t even know a specific grant existed until they saw it within donor search. So donor search is essential, it was essential.
And it helped get the word out to their team in a streamlined way, when they have limited resources. So the final quote from them, I think was you will make your money back easily give you a return on your investment in first year, if you’re using the resources available to so if you’re on the fence, you ever thought about prospect research, there’s consistent client success here. And it can help you prioritize effectively save time and save money. So
I’m gonna go to the next slide, which is our special end of your offer. So as a DonorPerfect client, because we have a great partnership with donor search, we do have an end of year offer that we can pass on to you.
We have over a $1,200 discount on a back screening when purchasing a donor donor service subscription. So that batch screening is where we’re able to get you a ton of data on 1000s of records all at once. And then that marketing lists that we talked about where you can download up to 500 new records. We’re going to increase that to 1000 so you can get up to 1000
new donors who may have propensity to give to your organization by signing up a donor search for the full subscription before the end of the year.
If you’re interested in donor search, if you want your account manager to reach out to touch base to talk about pricing and talk a little bit more about details, go right in the Questions tab and just type in
our search in the questions area, and I’ll be sure that your appropriate account manager will reach out with pricing for your organization.
Thank you, everybody, for putting up with me. And sticking with me for the last 45 minutes. I don’t know if you heard the large tractor outside my window or if you heard my three year old outside that door. But if you did,
that’s what remote work is like nowadays. So you got a nice little look into my world. I am going to stick around. I’m going to pause my screen.
And I’m going to open the questions have them start at the beginning.
Let’s start at the beginning. When you update the prospects giving history with your knowledge, are you sharing that info with other fundraisers? That’s a great question. And I kind of touched on it. But I want to expand on that you’re not that’s only in your profile that’s saved in your donor search portfolio. So if I see a donor that is let’s say there have a DS rating of four, which is fine, but it’s not great. But they won the lottery. And from what I know about them that $100,000 gift that’s in the maybe data info and I change it to Yes, because I know about him. So we’re going to update that info from my profile, specifically, not the XYZ foundation down the street.
Okay, what packages is available and pricing options? That’s a good question. I answered that a little bit past this question, but anywhere from 90 to $179 a month. And then batch screenings are all dependent upon the size of the data filing the screen. So the account manager can work with you on that specifically.
The employer match area, that’s what in the additional search options. How do you set up portfolios and are perfect? So it’s good question. So that’s using your filtering. So when we use the button
when you run a screening, the most important data comes back into DonorPerfect. So when you set up your filters, that’s how you’re going to have and you can set up custom reports as well in any way to present this data to you in any fashion you’d like. But you want to set up portfolios for all of your DS one dash ones, and then you want to put them on a specific moves management campaign. So you can go into those management section or the contact manager and over perfect, you can create a filter that says show me all my DS one dash ones. And that’s going to be assigned to jump down the hall because she’s our major gifts officer and I want her focusing on these 25 individuals. Everybody else is going to work on the rest. So you can utilize filters and customer reports to do that within genre perfect specific.
Okay.
Okay.
how up to date is donor search? That’s a great, great question. All their databases are updated on a rolling basis, some daily, some weekly, some monthly, but they’re consistently adding over 2 million charitable gifts per month.
They can also go out and if you provide them pure organizations or like minded organizations, they can make sure they have all their annual reports. So they are very dedicated to having the most up to date Charitable Giving Database amongst prospect research services, and they’re consistently updating it so that there’s valuable information for you.
Hello, good question. Don’t ask I apologize, but I don’t really understand the DS one dash one system? Is this just for those giving 5k where you do designate the amounts for your specific organization. So this is just 5k. So that one does one the whole rating system is a scale of different indicators of wealth and giving potential. I only chose one dash one because it’s a very easy
metric. There’s others that have lower giving amounts or high wealth indicators but maybe not great.
Giving
track record or vice versa. One decimal is just the easiest one to understand and the best target for major gifts because it’s it is 5000 Or more specifically, and that’s for every organization that uses donor search.
James Yes, I did record this and we can provide it to all of you after the presentation
and if you put quite
shouldn’t hear that I don’t answer. Don’t be discouraged. It’s probably just something that it’s probably better for a direct follow up and the account managers will, your account managers will have access to all of these questions, so they’ll be able to reach out directly to answer this.
I guess Kimberly, it looks like you asked the question that way through that I answered pretty pretty quickly after so what if you don’t know a donor? Can you use donor search to find people who get specific types of organizations? The answer was a resounding yes. That’s not marketing list feature that I’ve demonstrated and talked about with the fact that it’s too
fast about cost and the purpose for short term.
This does come with a one year commitment. So while you can pay it monthly, or annually, it does come with a one year commitment.
Hey
Rebecca asked, Would it help you find new addresses for donors if they moved, potentially. But for that use case, I’d probably recommend another feature that we offer, it’s called DEP address updater. If you don’t already utilize DEP address updater It’s a service that can automatically go through scan your entire system every night, and will update addresses for those that have indicated a change of address to the US Postal Service. So Rebecca, if you don’t have that already, or if you’re interested in more, I’ll take note and I’ll make sure your account manager reaches out about that as well.
You’re welcome. Okay, any additional questions?
Thank you don’t have any additional questions. You can feel free to sign up I will share the recording with you directly.
And you should hear from an account manager if you have x. If if you had any questions or if you had an interest, you may hear from him directly just because your attended.
But feel free to
log off. If you have no additional questions. It looks like I worked my way through most of the questions and if you didn’t hear an answer, we’ll follow up directly
